About the piece
Empa is built up in bands. Each one uses a different knot: open netting, tight lines, a row of small raised knots. Between them, wavy lines separate the textures, and below hangs a long, straight fringe. The overall effect is reminiscent of layers of sand and cliff, bringing a beach-house feel to any room.
At 80 × 100 cm, this is a large, vertical wall hanging, suited to a living room's main wall, a bed headboard or a high-ceilinged entrance.
Handmade in Ericeira, one piece at a time, with 100% natural cotton cord made in Portugal and a branch gathered from nature, sanded and varnished.
This piece is made to order: we start yours when you order it, which adds 2 to 3 working days to shipping. As it's made fresh, there may be small differences from the photograph.

Vacuum gently to remove dust. If a spot gets dirty, brush only that area with water and mild soap. Avoid humidity and direct sun.
